My Own Words is a composite of Justice Ginsburg'south most compelling lectures, speeches, writings, positive and dissenting arguments of her decades' long career that illustrate the tough, resilient make and model of who she is today.
From a young age, she was inspired by Vladimir Nabokov, who "inverse the way I read and the style I write. Words could paint pictures, I learned from him. Choosing the correct word, and the correct give-and-take social club, he illustrated, could brand an enormous divergence in carrying an epitome or an idea." At eighty-three years old, a cancer survivor and recently recovered from surgery for a coronary blockage, the notorious RBG has no plans to retire. Soon she stands with 2 other female Justices: Justice Sonia Sotomayer and Justice Elena Kagan. She has been asked when she thinks in that location will be enough women on the Court, to which she replies, with a mischievous gleam, "when there are nine."
Quite a provocative position to envision for the demote!
